Powergaming
Roleplay Rules
Major
Powergaming is forcing actions onto another player without giving them a chance to respond, or roleplaying unrealistic abilities that give unfair advantages.
Types of powergaming:
- Forcing actions: "/me grabs you and throws you in car" without response time
- God-modding: Making your character unrealistically strong/skilled
- Meta-powergaming: Using OOC information to predict actions
- Refusing consequences: Ignoring injuries, trauma, or losses
- Unrealistic skills: Expert in everything
Proper roleplay:
- Use attempting language: "/me attempts to grab your arm"
- Allow response time: Give other players chance to respond
- Accept failure: Sometimes your character fails
- Realistic limitations: Your character can't do everything
- Appropriate consequences: Injuries affect your character
Combat powergaming:
- Give clear initiation before attacking
- Allow others to surrender/flee/respond
- Don't instant-kill without RP
- Accept when you lose a fight
Social powergaming:
- Can't force emotions on others ("You are afraid")
- Can't control others' characters
- Must allow others to react
First offense: Warning and RP void
Second offense: 3-day ban
Continued issues: 7-day to permanent ban
